Transfer domains
between registrars
- 1.Log in to your GoDaddy account and go to My Products → Domains.
- 2.Select the domain you want to transfer and click Manage → Domain Settings.
- 3.Scroll down to Additional Settings and click Unlock Domain. Confirm unlocking.
- 4.If WHOIS privacy is active, disable it.
- 5.Request your Authorization Code (EPP/Auth Code) from the same section (Transfer Domain Away from GoDaddy).
- 6.Verify that the admin contact email is valid and able to receive emails.
- 7.Log in to your Namecheap account and go to Domain Transfer → Transfer to Namecheap.
- 8.Enter the domain name, paste the Auth Code, and add it to your cart.
- 9.Complete checkout and payment with Namecheap.
- 10.Approve any confirmation emails sent from both GoDaddy and Namecheap.
- 11.Wait 5–7 days for the transfer to complete, or expedite if GoDaddy allows.
